This consultation has concluded.
Stage 2 Engagement concluded Friday 16th December. The Shaping our Region online forum and surveys are now closed.
The Project Management Team would like to thank everyone who participated in our workshops, listening posts, online forums, surveys and quick polls. We have had conversations with several hundred people from a wide range of sectors within the G21 community.
Over the next month we will be consolidating all the feedback received. This will form part of an engagement report and will provide an important input to the development of a draft Regional Growth Plan.
We encourage you to continue your interest in the project and monitor project development on the project website g21regionalgrowthplan.com.au. It is anticipated the draft Regional Growth Plan will be available for comment in April 2012.

The following are the key challenges identified for the G21 region. Through your comments and in conversation with others tell us which are important to you an why?
- Delivering land and services for the identified growth
- Planning and adapting to climate change
- Accommodating population growth without negatively affecting our region
- Reducing our dependence on cars
- Educating and building our skills
- Providing a variety of housing
- Managing land use conflicts
- Managing the expectations of the G21 community
The Regional Growth Plan will consider how to manage these challenges and how to deliver the identified growth.

Which scenario or combination of scenarios do you most prefer? Why?
This online discussion forum has concluded. You can still browse the site but the discussion area will no longer accept new comments or votes.
These scenarios describe possible futures for the G21 region at 500,000 people and beyond. Specifically, they explore ways in which the additional people could be accommodated in the region beyond the areas already identified to grow. The three scenarios are not options for growth, rather they have been created to encourage discussion about how you would like to see the region look and function in the long term.
Understanding your most preferred scenarios and why will help identfy prioirity directions and create a picture of the region in future.
